Q:  How big is the Waterlefe community?
A:  Waterlefe has 617 homeowner sites, and is a completely built-out community.
 
Q:  Are there any “rules” that must be followed to live in Waterlefe?
A:  Yes. We are a deed-restricted community. In order to maintain property values and provide an aesthetically-pleasing environment for all homeowners, we have Covenants, Bylaws, Policies and Practices that we abide by and enforce. Please refer to “Covenants and Bylaws” for detailed information. We also use our “DRB Guidelines Manual” as a reference on day-to-day policies.
 
Q:  How much does it cost to live in Waterlefe?
A:  Dependent upon which Lifestyle option you select, the fees vary. Contact Waterlefe Property Management at 941.747.6898 for information about associated costs/fees.
 
Q:  What is the closest airport to the community?
A:  Waterlefe is primarily serviced via either Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) or Tampa International Airport (TPA).
 
Q:  Can I transport my car to/from my home to the Waterlefe area?
A:  There are multiple car ferry services available; some residents use the auto train while others use independent driving services.
 
Q:  Does the community “close down” during the summer months?
A:  Not at all! A high number of residents are “permanent”, and all Waterlefe facilities, amenities and activities continue on a year-round basis.
 
Q:  Is Waterlefe a 55+ Community?
A:  No. While primarily more of an adult community, we have active families living in the community with school age children attending nearby schools.  And, during school holidays there are lots of grandchildren in the community visiting. We offer special events for children at Easter and Christmas. While we range in age from 30’s to 80’s, we are an extremely active Community offering activities and events catering to a broad range of preferences and interests.
 
Q:  What type of Amenities are there?
A:  Numerous. In addition to our Championship Golf Course, Marina, and River Club dining facility, we offer a myriad of amenities. Refer to Amenities for a detailed list.
 
Q:  What is it about the Community that residents love?
A:  Most new residents say that while looking at numerous community options, every time they drove into Waterlefe they “just loved how it felt”. There is mature landscaping, an onsite dining facility, and beautifully-maintained grounds.  We like to say that while the key amenities bring you here, it is the community that keeps you here. It’s an established community with both golf and boating plus two restaurants – what’s not to love about that!?!
 
Q:  What types of housing are available in Waterlefe?
A:  We have housing options for every need: Condos; Villas (maintenance assisted); Executive Homes; Single-level and Multi-level floor plans; 2- and 3-car garage options; 2- to 6-bedrooms; 1300+ to 6600+ sq. ft. Most properties come with an in-ground swimming pool and screened lanai, and offer a view of the golf course, water or preserve. Q:  Are there medical services nearby?
A:  There are two Urgent Care facilities within 2 miles; Lakewood Ranch Medical Hospital is 10 miles away; Doctor’s Hospital is 9 miles away; Sarasota Memorial Hospital is 23 miles away; Manatee Memorial Hospital is 11 miles away.  Most people have access to all of their medical needs within 5-25 miles.
