We value and prioritize our residents and your safety, so your CERT team (comprised of resident volunteers) and your MPOA has gathered some helpful resources on this page to help you prepare for storms & natural disasters. Please be advised, during an active storm event, we will always provide community updates through our email communication system as much as possible, but it is the responsibility of each resident to utilize official local resources (Manatee County) for real-time storm alerts and action plans

OUR GOAL: MOST GOOD FOR MOST PEOPLE

CERT Volunteers within the community assist in Waterlefe emergencies whenever 911 services are not immediately available.
CERT may be activated whenever natural and manmade disasters occur, such as hurricanes, explosions, fires and related catastrophes.

WHO IS CERT?

Your Waterlefe neighbor volunteers
Trained by Manatee County to assist our community in the event of a disaster…hurricane, flood, etc

 

WHAT DOES CERT DO? (DURING DISASTERS ONLY)

Help residents until 911 emergency responders can get to Waterlefe
Perform light rescue work of residents
Provide first aid as needed

CERT DOES NOT DO:

Substitute for any 911 emergency services
Provide high level emergency medical care
